Hello my name is Natalie and I am a mother to two young men. I know the value of sleep in the early days of a family forming. As a Little Stars Night Nanny, I am in the privileged position to help families gain the precious gift of restful sleep while the baby adjusts to life earthside.
My youngest child, now 18 years old, has embarked on his own adult life, but it was his arrival that prompted my decision to step away from midwifery. Since then my caregiving skills have remained well-practiced and highly honed; acting as a preconception counselor and birth doula. The primary reason I was initially drawn to midwifery was to help people start families – a drive that has never left me. I am innately skilled at looking after and supporting people. My perceptiveness often allows me to anticipate needs before they are even requested, which I consider one of my superpowers. And this goes double for the babies, I possess a naturally calm demeanor and a deep understanding of children, even in difficult circumstances. My maturity has equipped me with the capability to consistently address the needs of both children and their parents.
Effective communication is fundamental to my approach, and I believe it is essential for cultivating strong relationships. In terms of adaptability, I am able to swiftly adjust to various situations and routines while maintaining composure during stressful moments. I am dedicated to supporting breastfeeding and have experience in providing nutritious meals, ensuring that I can accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences. My experience spans from working with newborns to teenagers, and I am passionate about the safety and welfare of the children and families entrusted to my care.
Furthermore, I am equipped to handle any minor health concerns that may arise, providing parents with peace of mind while they rest. I also maintain a current first aid certification. I have developed strong communication skills and always prioritize creating a collaborative relationship with families, ensuring they feel supported and informed about their children’s care.
I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my skills and experience in a role that allows me to support families during such a precious time.
